Paris Climate Agreement Ratified

State Aid: Ireland Gave Illegal Tax Benefits to Apple Worth 13 Billion Euros

Press release which charges that Ireland provided tax benefits to Apple which violated state aid rules of the European Union.  Charges that the Irish tax treatment allowed Apple to link most profits earned in the EU to a head office in Ireland which existed only on paper and reduced their tax rate to 0.005% by 2014.  The ruling seeks recovery of the unpaid taxes from 2003 to 2014.  From the European Commission
