Reports that hourly compensation costs in manufacturing industries in the U.S. in 2009 were lower than in 12 European countries and Australia, but higher than in 20 other major manufacturing countries.  Average hourly compensation costs in manufacturing in the U.S. rose about 4% to $33.53.  From the Bureau of Labor Statistics
