Highlights of Women’s Earnings in 2016

Finds that women’s earnings in 2016 were 82% of those of male counterparts who were also full-time workers.  In the first year of such data (1979)  women’s earnings were 62% of men’s earnings; most of the growth in women’s earnings occurred in the 1980s and 1990s.  Covers earnings by age group, race/ethnicity, educational attainment, occupation, state of residence, and for those with and without children under 18.  From the Bureau of Labor Statistics
