Major Work Stoppages in 2014

There were just 11 major work stoppages involving 1,000 or more workers and lasting at least one shift.  It equaled the second lowest annual total since the series began in 1947.  Statistics provide coverage back to 1947 and show number of stoppages, number of workers idled, and length of walkout.  From the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
