Consent Order: Agreement between National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and General Motors

Text of the agreement between the federal agency and General Motors where the latter admitted to violating the Safety Act and agreed to pay a civil penalty of $35 million.  The violation related to a safety defect that resulted in the nondeployment of air bags in certain GM models.  From the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
