Comparing Health Insurance Coverage and Costs for Employees in Lower-Wage versus Higher-Wage Establishments, Private Sector 2012

Employees in lower-wage establishments were less likely to be working where health insurance was offered.  A lower percentage of employees enrolled in health insurance plans when they were available in lower-wage establishments compared to the percentages in higher-wage establishments.  From the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality

Real Personal Income for States and Metropolitan Areas, 2008-2012

Real personal income across all regions rose by an average of 2.3% in 2012.  North Dakota with a 15.1% increase led all states in growth rate, while South Dakota was the only state with a decline in real person income.  Also includes regional price parities to reflect the purchasing power of personal income across regions.  From the Bureau of Economic Analysis
