Residents Living in Residential Care Facilities: United States, 2010

This report presents national estimates of the characteristics of  residential care facilities residents from the first national survey of facilities with four or more beds.  In 2010 the majority of such residents were non-Hispanic white females age 85 or over.  Also provides information on assistance needed in daily activities, insurance coverage, and prevalence of chronic health conditions.  From the National Center for Health Statistics

 

Birth Rates for U.S. Teenagers Reach Historic Lows for All Age and Ethnic Groups

The U.S. teen birth rate declined 9% from 2009 to 2010 reaching a historic low at 34.3 births per 1,000 women aged 15-19.  The 2010 rate was 44% below the 1991 rate.   From the National Center for Health Statistics
