Standards of Performance for Greenhouse Gas Emissions for New Stationary Sources: Electric Utility Generating Units

Proposed rule which limits carbon dioxide emissions from new electricity-generating power plants to 1,000 pounds of CO2 per megawatt-hour of electricity produced.  The proposed rule, a response to a 2007 Supreme Court ruling, is seen by some as the end of the coal-fired power plant.  From the Environmental Protection Agency.
