Provides updated prevalence estimates  for autism from 14 sites in the U.S.  Reports that 1 in 88 children suffered from autism, an increase in prevalence of 23% from 2006 to 2008 and 78% from 2002.  The prevalence among boys was much higher than for girls.  From the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

 

State Cigarette Excise Taxes, United States, 2010-2011

Reports that during 2010-2011, eight states increased their excise taxes on cigarettes, while one state decreased the tax.  The mean state tax in 2011 was $1.46.  Table shows the state tax in each state for 2011 plus the dollar change from 2010 and the percentage change from 2009.
