Results from the 2009 National Survey on Drug Use and Health: Mental Health Findings

Presents national estimates of the prevalence of past year mental disorders and past year mental health services utilization for youths aged 12-17 and adults aged 18+.  Estimates that in 2009 there were 45.1 million adults or 19.9% of all adults in the U.S. with some kind of mental illness.  Also provides statistics on those with mental health problems who were also identified as individuals with substance dependence or abuse problems.  For detailed tables, see:
