Reports that about 40% of adolescents have ever tried smoking cigarettes, 16% had their first alcoholic drink before age 13, and 21% had tried marijuana. The tables included present weighted percentages and standard errors for smoking, alcohol, and illicit drug use behaviors in U.S. adolescents by sex, race/ethnicity, education and poverty level.
