2008 Wiretap Report

Covers the number of wire taps approved by courts during 2008 plus major offenses for which intercepts were granted, types of surveillance used, arrests made, and convictions secured. Subtitled: Gender Pay Gap in the Federal Workforce Narrows as Differences in Occupation, Education, and Experience Diminish. This report examines whether a pay gap still exists between male and female federal government workers, and what the federal government is doing to enforce anti-discrimination laws. Finds that from 1988 to 2007 the gender pay gap in the federal workforce declined from 28 cents to 11 cents. All but 7 cents of the difference is accounted for by measurable differences in education and experience. From the Government Accountability Office
