Federal Facilities in Chesapeake Bay Watershed Generally Comply with Major Clean Water Act Permits

100 federal facilities discharge into the Chesapeake Bay or its tributaries. This study looked at whether the federal government was in compliance with its own standards as expressed in the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits. Finds that the federal facilities in the Chesapeake Bay area had a lower rate of significant noncompliance than federal and nonfederal facilities nationwide.
