How Did Small Business-Owning Households Fare During the Longest U.S. Economic Expansion

Concludes that households owning small businesses were more likely to be found in the top echelons of income and wealth than households that did not own a business. But small business owners found their share of aggregate household wealth declined from 42.5% in 1992 to 40.6% in 2001. From the Small Business Administration.

Surface Temperature Reconstructions for the Last 2,000 Years

Uses instrumental records and proxy evidence to conclude that global mean surface temperature was higher during the last few decades of the 20th Century than during any comparable period during the preceding four centuries. Also reports that temperatures at many but not all locations were higher during the past 25 years than during any comparable period since AD 900. From a committee assembled by the National Research Council at the request of Congress to assess the state of scientific efforts to reconstruct surface temperatures for the Earth and measure climate change over the past two millennia.
