Wadeable Streams Assessment: A Collaborative Survey of the Nation’s Streams

The first comprehensive attempt to assess the condition of small streams in the U.S. Covers 1,392 sites selected at random to represent the condition of all streams in regions that share similar ecological characteristics. Found that condition of the streams varied widely with those in the West in the best condition. From the Environmental Protection Agency.
